Visit Loughborough Grammar School
If you’re thinking of placing your child at Loughborough Grammar School, we highly recommend that you visit us. Throughout the year, we hold a variety of different admissions events, including Open Mornings and a Taster Day for prospective Year 7 pupils. These events provide an ideal opportunity for you to engage with our community, tour our facilities, and meet our staff, allowing you to gain a genuine understanding of what sets our school apart.
Please note that, while our admission events are complimentary and open to all, spaces are limited, and prior registration is required. We look forward to welcoming you to Loughborough Grammar School.
Our prospectus is a great way to get a well-rounded view of our school and the opportunities available to boys. You can choose to receive a digital prospectus direct to your inbox, along with our admissions newsletter to keep you up to date with news and events. Alternatively, if you prefer a printed copy, we will be delighted to send a prospectus to you in the post.
If you are unable to attend one of our scheduled admissions events or would prefer a more tailored introduction to our school, we recommend that you contact us. Our Registrar will be delighted to arrange a private tour of our campus, providing you with a unique opportunity to explore our facilities and learn more about our community. Visiting Options
We are pleased to provide you with three visiting options, whether you are considering Senior School or Sixth Form entry. We operate a rolling enrolment programme and should you wish to join us part way through our year, we will be happy to arrange a visit or Taster Day as a valuable first step.
Option one and perhaps the most immediate solution, is to contact the Registrar and arrange a Personal Tour.
We invite you to make an appointment at a time and date to suit you. During the tour you will dip into lessons, get a sense of a day in the life of the School and see some of our outstanding facilities for learning, sport and co-curricular activities, including the first-class Loughborough Schools Music building. Parking for visitors is available at the Loughborough Schools Foundation main entrance on the A6 and refreshments will be offered.
Option two is to come along on one of our regular Open Mornings.
Open Mornings give us an opportunity to be fully focused on visitors, with tours, complemented by an enjoyable range of performances, displays of work and presentations from the Headmaster and key staff members.
Our next all Open Morning takes place on Saturday 04 October 2025, 09.00 AM – 12:00 PM
Option three is for your child to join us for a Taster Day. This would usually be a next step after a successful tour or, having made an application for a place at the School, we will always invite children to a Taster Day. We value it greatly as an important part of the decision-making process for you, for us and of course, for your child.
It’s an absorbing day, during which children join classes, meet other pupils, gain an insight into School Life, often make firm friends, have fun, enjoy lunch and generally have a great time.
Our next Taster Day is in June 2026.
Option four. We are delighted to be able to offer parents the opportunity to explore Loughborough Grammar School on our Virtual Tour.
