I am delighted that you are interested in our new Immersion Programme at Loughborough Grammar School.
Our Immersion Programme provides international students with the opportunity to spend a week experiencing life at our outstanding School. They will get a taste of different subjects in the classroom, benefit from the fantastic facilities across our campus, and enjoy exciting trips and activities showcasing the best of English history, culture and tradition, having plenty of fun along the way.
For this week, they are very much part of the Loughborough Grammar School family – learning from our brilliant teachers and mixing with both international and UK students. They will return to you having made memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

About Loughborough Grammar School
Founded in 1495, Loughborough Grammar School is one of the oldest independent schools in the country. We have over 500 years of experience in delivering exceptional teaching and learning in a happy, aspirational environment where every pupil can thrive. Loughborough
Loughborough is a town situated in the county of Leicestershire in central England. It is most famous as the home of Loughborough University – the best university in the world for sport. Did you know that at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, Loughborough University athletes won 35 medals?
As a University town, Loughborough is home to over 2000 international students each year, making it a safe and welcoming place for our Immersion Programme cohort.

Our Campus
Our leafy campus is a five-minute walk from the town centre. It is shared with Fairfield Prep School and Loughborough High School, so is home to around 1750 students. The Grammar School dates back over 500 years so we have a wonderful mix of traditional buildings, alongside modern facilities like our excellent Science Park and outstanding Music School.

Out two boarding houses are located right at the heart of our school, helping our boarders feel part of the whole school community from their very first day. Our Housemasters ensure everyone is happy, well looked after and able to fully embrace all the experiences and opportunities available to them across the school.

Spring Term: Sunday 22 February to Sunday 1 March
Summer Term: Sunday 14 June to Sunday 21 June
Individual bookings: £1,250 (inc VAT)
Group bookings (2 or more students): Please contact us – grammar.boarding@lsf.org
- Suitable for boys aged 11 to 17 (Year 7-12)
- No formal entry test or interview is required
- A recent school report should be provided, along with details of academic / non-academic achievements
- A full, tailored programme which balances academic study with social and cultural experiences
- Two group excursions exploring England’s history and culture
- Full-board accommodation (three meals a day) with wifi and laundry in our boarding house on campus
- Airport transfers to and from London Heathrow or Birmingham International Airport
- All travel arrangements on trips, and to and from activities
- 24-hour pastoral supervision and support
- A Loughborough Grammar School hoody
