Student Athlete Programme


Our pupils benefit from access to a multidisciplinary support team, a tailored performance structure, and a school environment that values high achievement in all areas. The programme helps each individual manage the pressures of performance sport while continuing to excel in the classroom.

Designed around the needs of LGS boys, this initiative reflects our commitment to fostering potential on the pitch, in the gym, and beyond.

  • Physical Conditioning and Injury Prevention
  • Lifestyle, Recovery, and Time Management

This framework is implemented through:

  • Regular contact with expert coaches and S&C specialists
  • Customised Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
  • Ongoing tracking and adjustment of training load and performance metrics
  • In-depth nutritional guidance tailored to training and competition schedules
  • Workshops on injury awareness and effective recovery techniques
  • Mental skills coaching covering mindset, focus, and managing pressure
  • Mentoring around goal setting, lifestyle choices and personal discipline
  • Wellbeing support, ensuring pupils remain physically and mentally healthy
