Where every boy is known, valued and inspired
At Loughborough Grammar School, individual growth is central to our mission. We believe that true education goes beyond academic achievement – it’s about shaping confident, compassionate and resilient young people who understand themselves and their place in the world.
Pastoral care is the foundation of everything we do. It underpins wellbeing, yes but more than that, it builds good character, integrity and self-belief. Our staff take the time to know each boy as an individual, creating a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where every pupil can flourish.
Through a carefully planned blend of pastoral support, PSHE education, co-curricular experiences, and a strong focus on wellbeing, we help boys develop in every dimension: intellectually, emotionally, socially and morally. Each element works together to support their personal journey, helping them grow not just in what they know, but in who they are.
At Loughborough Grammar, we celebrate individuality. Whether a boy is academic, artistic, sporty, technical, or something else entirely, we ensure he is known, understood and valued. Our aim is to nurture confidence, build character and cultivate compassion – helping each pupil find his voice and contribute meaningfully to the world around him.
Growth happens everywhere – not just in the classroom. With over 140 clubs and activities, our boys are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, try new things, and discover new passions. From Music and Drama to Sport, CCF, bee-keeping and Lego robotics, there are countless ways to grow in skill, confidence and friendship.
Becoming their best selves
Every boy’s journey is unique. At Loughborough Grammar School, we provide the care, opportunities and encouragement to help him become the very best version of himself.
