Today marks the first day as Headmaster of Loughborough Grammar School for Mr James Neville. With a full diary for the week ahead, he is delighted to join the wonderful school community and looks forward to being part of the LGS experience.
In a letter sent to parents today, Mr Neville states that his ambitious strategic vision for the School is being informed through extensive stakeholder engagement. “This vision will draw on the best of tradition in our 530-year-old school while also shaping Loughborough Grammar as an innovative, beacon of educational excellence in the region which sustains its mission to transform young lives,” said Mr Neville.
“Valuing tradition and inspiring innovation, the strategic vision will be faithful to Loughborough Grammar’s founding mission ‘to provide boys with a moral compass and to produce young men who will contribute meaningfully and serve others’.”
Mr Neville explained that his principal focus will be on “providing a first-class education, underpinned by a happy, aspirational ethos in which every pupil can thrive.”
He also spoke of his plans for the School to become more outward facing, “demonstrating the benefits and specialisms afforded by boys’ education while making the most of our co-educational campus and extensive opportunities for collaboration.”
As part of his ongoing stakeholder engagement, Mr Neville looks forward to meeting with parents over the coming weeks whilst hosting a number of informal coffee mornings.
