Congratulations to two of our pupils for taking part in the Historical Association Competition's 'Great Debate', which is an annual public-speaking competition for Years 10 - 13.

This year's theme for the competition was: 'The role played by archives and resources in understanding your local area'. The internal Grammar School heat was won by two boys, Tom and Kyle, who then competed in the Nottinghamshire round held at Nottingham High School last week.

We would like to say good luck to Tom who won the Nottinghamshire round and who is now off to compete in the Midlands regional round!

To commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day, the Library has been spotlighting a range of books, including fiction and non-fiction, about the Holocaust. From graphic novels such as Maus by Art Spiegelman, to young adult novels such as The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, as well as the world-renowned Diary of Anne Frank, it is important that our pupils have access to such impactful accounts and stories.
