East Midlands Music Festival

It is Music Festival time! The East Midlands Music Festival is a fabulous, fun weekend of competitions in brass, piano, percussion, strings, singing and woodwind. The Festival will be a wonderful opportunity for budding young musicians of any level, and is open to all young musicians from across the East Midlands.
Prizes are available for each category and with individual feedback from expert adjudicators for each participant, this is a valuable performance experience in a relaxed and supportive arena.
The competitions are organised by age group; Year 6 and under, Year 7 – 10 and Year 11 – 13 with piano, singing, brass and percussion on Saturday 7 February and strings and woodwind on Sunday 8 February
Entries this year are online via the website and the deadline for entries is 16:00 on Friday 16 January 2026.

Competition Entry
Written confirmation of the receipt of the booking form will be sent to all parents with any additional information about the competition if necessary.
The deadline for receipt of application forms is 16:00 Friday 16 January 2026.
An official accompanist will be available for a fee of £12 for the Year 6 and under category and £16.50 for the Year 7 to 10 and Year 11 to 13 categories, which will include a run-through and the competition performance. If you require the accompanist’s services, please enclose a copy of the accompaniment parts and payment with your application. Additional rehearsal time may be booked with the accompanist separately; this will incur an additional charge.
Loughborough Schools Foundation reserves the right to withdraw any student from the competition for behaviour that we deem to be detrimental to the smooth-running of the competition or which might interfere with the safety of any other participants. The adjudicator’s decision will be final.
Regulations made for the safety and comfort of competitors and spectators must be observed.
Loughborough Schools Foundation cannot accept responsibility for any personal loss or damage to property or any injury sustained by participants.
First aid trained staff will be on site at all times in case of any incidents requiring medical attention.
