Rhys Lawlor set to compete in US Open quarter finals
Loughborough University National Tennis Academy (LUNTA) player, Rhys Lawlor, and his doubles partner, Mark Ceban, have recently defeated the US Open defending champions to make it through to the tournament’s quarter finals.
The pair are set to compete in the quarter finals tomorrow and, if successful, will go on to play in the semi-finals on Friday and the finals on Saturday.
As a player at LUNTA, Rhys benefits from world-class tennis coaching and a comprehensive support system encompassing performance science, medicine, and wellbeing.
In parallel, LUNTA players also receive an outstanding mainstream education, along with boarding and pastoral care, at Loughborough Grammar School. Our recently refurbished boarding facilities are conveniently located near the university campus, enabling academy members to study, train, rest and thrive, all within a supportive and closely connected environment.
