Loughborough Grammar School is proud to be partnering with the UK’s largest independent piano supplier
.
The Music School, which is a shared resource with Fairfield Preparatory School and Loughborough High School, is widely recognised in the East Midlands for its state-of-the-art facilities and highly experienced teaching staff. This partnership will see a new fleet of pianos including Bösendorfer, Steinberg, Sauter, Kawai and Steinway installed this summer.
Not only will this collaboration improve the overall quality of pianos at the Music School, but the diversity of pianos will also ensure pupils are better prepared for music courses at university and beyond as they begin their careers as professional musicians.
With over 40 years’ experience as a leading piano supplier, Coach House Pianos specialises in supplying, installing, maintaining and restoring the world’s finest pianos. The company provides detailed advice and works closely with schools across the country to help ensure music departments reach the best tailored solutions for their pupils and staff, facilitating an outstanding music education and inspiring future generations of talented musicians.
As part of the partnership, pupils will also benefit from the connections that Coach House Pianos has with many top-concert artists and teachers, which includes bespoke recitals, workshops, and masterclasses.
Going into partnership with Coach House Pianos is a really exciting move. Not only will we be embracing the diversity of different brands, but we will be introducing a Bösendorfer as a flagship instrument into our Recital Hall. This move will enable us to better prepare our most able pupils for the real world and will also enhance the teaching and learning of all instruments, underpinning our pursuit of excellence and inclusion.
Nicky Bouckley, Director of Music
Coach House Piano’s Education Business Manager, David Halford said: “Coach House Pianos is thrilled to be embarking on this association with the dynamic team in the Music School. It is a partnership that will not only help nurture and develop the existing talents of student pianists but will aim to provide inspirational activities that will benefit all musicians at the School and those looking to attend in the future.”
Loughborough Grammar School Music Scholars will be visiting the Coach House Pianos’ London Showroom next month to take part in a masterclass with Gareth Owen, Deputy Head of Keyboard at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, followed by a showcase concert with Loughborough High School pianists to conclude the experience.
